The film follows a Grandfather telling his bedridden grandson the story of Westly, a farmhand turned pirate on a mission to rescue his love Princess Buttercup from the evil Prince Humperdinck and his vizier Count Rugen. Along the way, Westly meets the Spanish Swordsman Inigo Montoya, the Greenland Giant Fezzik, and the Sicilian Scoundrel Vizzini.
