In the attempt to put an end to this blockade, without signing a treaty set forth by the Trade Federation to the Queen of Naboo, played by Natalie Portman, Jedi Knights, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, played by Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor respectively, are sent to negotiate. After a refusal to negotiate and a crash landing on Naboo, the Knights and their crew encounter Jar Jar Binks, a native who serves as their navigator. Together the team travels the cosmos and finds a young boy, Anakin Skywalker, who is sensed to be strong with the force during their journey.
